We’re set up in the Samart Silk Mill Compound over on LBS Marg. Healthy Life Foodtech Pvt Ltd shares this old compound with a few other businesses, so it’s always got people coming and going. The building itself has that old industrial feel to it, with high ceilings and thick walls that stay surprisingly cool even when it’s hot outside. LBS Marg is a nightmare for traffic most days, so we try to get in early before the gridlock starts. Our space is mostly taken up by the equipment and some storage racks we put in last year. There’s a bit of a squeak in the floorboards near the back door that we’ve tried to fix a few times, but it always comes back. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and you’re pretty much in the middle of everything. We keep a small kettle in the corner for making tea during the mid-morning break. It’s a bit of a walk to the main road if you need to catch a bus, but the exercise is good for us. The lighting is okay, mostly fluorescent tubes that hum a little bit if you listen closely. It’s just a practical, honest workspace where we handle the daily tasks. It’s not a place for showing off, just for getting the foodtech side of things sorted out quietly. We just try to make the most of the space we have here in the compound.
