Sangeeta Dry Fruit & Sweet Mart

You can find us in the Monaj Villa Building on D J Road. We are right on the corner near the station in Vile Parle West, very close to the Gurudev Hotel. It is a very busy area with people always rushing to catch their trains. We’ve been here for years, selling dry fruits and sweets to whoever walks in. The shop is usually full of snacks and different kinds of nuts. We try to keep things stocked up because you never know when a big crowd will come through after work. It’s a small shop, and sometimes it gets a bit cramped when there are more than four customers inside, but we don't mind. We know most of the people who pass by every day. Some stop in for a quick snack, others are looking for gifts for a festival. We spend a lot of time weighing things out and packing them into bags. Being near the station means we have to stay open late most nights. It’s a lot of standing around, but we enjoy talking to the regulars. The building is old, and the street is always noisy, but it feels like home to us. We just keep the shelves full and the floor swept. That is pretty much our whole day here. We don't have any big corporate plans, we just like running our shop and seeing the station crowds go by.
