Our office is on the 10th floor of Rizvi House, which is right on Hill Road in Bandra West. If you have ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how hectic and crowded it can get downstairs. There are shoppers and cars everywhere at almost any hour of the day. Royal Dry Fruits has been operating from this building for a good while. Up here on the tenth floor, it is a bit quieter, but you can still hear the city moving. We spend our days mostly coordinating with suppliers and checking on the stock. We deal with various kinds of nuts and dried fruits, so the office sometimes has that faint earthy smell. It is a small team and we don't really have a big corporate structure. We just talk to each other across the desks and get things sorted. The space is filled with files and some samples of what we sell. We have seen many stores open and close on Hill Road over the years while we stayed put in Rizvi House. Sometimes the elevator in the building takes forever, which can be annoying when we are in a hurry. We just take it in our stride. It is a very lived-in space and not some shiny, modern office. We focus on the nuts and the paperwork and try to keep things moving along without making it too complicated.
