Viraj Milk & Cold Drink Center

Viraj Milk & Cold Drink Center is a little shop in Worli. We are in Room No 2, Building No 36 on Dr G road. It’s a small space but we packed a lot into it. We sell milk, curd, and all sorts of cold drinks. In the summer, the fridge is always running and the shop is the coolest place on the block. We get a lot of kids coming in for soda after school. I've been running this place since my kids were small. Now they are grown up. We open very early in the morning because that’s when the milk delivery comes. Usually, I'm here by 5 AM. The neighborhood is quite old and everyone knows each other. We chat with the regulars about the news or the weather. It’s more than just a shop; it’s where people stop for a minute. We have a small bench outside where some of the older men sit. The building 36 has seen better days, but it’s sturdy. We don't have any fancy displays. We just keep the drinks cold and the milk fresh. Sometimes the crates stack up on the sidewalk and we have to move them quickly. It’s a busy little corner of Worli. We don't need any big signs. The smell of fresh milk and the sound of the fridge are enough. Come by if you're thirsty or need something for your tea at home. We just take it as it comes. It's a nice way to spend the day, seeing the neighbors.
