Operating out of Dadar East has its own set of challenges, mostly because of how crowded Jaya Nagar gets. Schroff'S Natural Food is tucked away at 784/b Dadar East Jaya Nagar South 400014, and we’ve tried to keep the place as simple as possible. We don’t go in for all those bright lights and loud music you see at the newer shops. People come to us when they want something that isn't processed to death. It’s a small shop, and sometimes boxes are stacked a bit high in the corners because we don't have a massive warehouse. We just do our own thing and hope the locals appreciate it. Dadar is the kind of place where everyone is in a hurry, so we try to get people what they need quickly. We’ve had the same customers for years, people who remember when the street looked a lot different. The air in Mumbai is always a bit heavy, but inside the shop, it feels a little more grounded. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us making sure the stock is fresh and the floor is swept. It's not a glamorous job, but it feels right to be selling things that are actually good for people. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just food, the way it’s supposed to be, sold by people who live right here in the area.
