Lush Green Farm Gardens

If you’re walking down Cooper Hospital Road in Vile Parle West, you’ll probably see us right across the street. We’ve got a lot of plants squeezed into this space, and it can look a bit messy sometimes with all the pots and soil lying around. Working with plants means our hands are almost always dirty and there is usually water pooled on the ground somewhere. It’s a bit of a contrast to the busy hospital traffic right outside. We spend our days pruning, watering, and moving heavy bags of manure from one corner to another. Some days are slow, especially when it’s too hot for people to think about their gardens, but other times we’re busy helping neighbors pick out something green for their balconies. It’s not some big corporate nursery, just a local spot where we try to keep things alive and growing. The sun hits this side of the road pretty hard in the afternoon, so we have to stay on top of the watering or everything wilts. We don’t have a fancy office, just a small stool and a notebook where we keep track of what’s in stock. People stop by on their way home to ask questions about why their hibiscus isn't blooming or just to look at the new arrivals. It’s a quiet way to spend the day, even with the city noise right at the gate. We just enjoy the green view we've made for ourselves.
