Shree Samarth Organic

Shree Samarth Organic is based out of two flats, numbers 17 and 18, in the Manhas Building. Being in Santacruz East is convenient for us since we are right in the middle of things. We decided to use these flats instead of a storefront because most of our work is about packing and sending out orders rather than having people browse shelves. It feels more like a home-based workshop than a store. We deal with organic products, mostly grains and pulses that come in from the villages. We spend a lot of time cleaning and sorting the stock to make sure there are no stones or debris. It's just a small team of four people. We use the kitchen area for breaks and the rest of the rooms are filled with sacks and weighing scales. It’s a bit of a tight fit sometimes when a new shipment arrives. We don’t have a big fancy sign outside, just a small nameplate on the door. The neighbors are nice and don’t mind the occasional delivery truck. We try to keep things quiet. My wife handles the accounts while I manage the sourcing and the guys who help with the heavy lifting. We aren't trying to grow into a massive corporation; we just want to provide decent stuff to the families who buy from us. It’s a steady business and we like it that way. No need for complicated marketing.
