Vinayak General Store

You can find us at Shop No 6 in the Kuruswamy Chawl. It is located in Malad West, quite close to the Police Patel Compound. If you live around here, you know it is a very tight-knit area. The chawl has a lot of families, and there is always noise and kids playing nearby. We have been part of this community for a long time. Our shop isn't very big, but we make use of every inch of space we have. From the floor to the ceiling, there are bags and containers of whatever people might need for their kitchens or homes. It gets pretty crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work and stopping by to pick up groceries. We know most of our customers by their names and what they usually buy. It is a very personal way to run a business, but that is just how it works in Malad. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where we stand all day. Dealing with the distributors and getting the stock through the narrow lanes can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, but we manage it. It is a simple life here at Vinayak General Store. We just keep the lights on and the shelves full so the neighborhood has a place to go. We are just local people serving the people who live right next to us every single day.
