Deepak Stores has been a part of Mohili Village 4 for a long time, and not much has changed since we first opened the doors. We carry all the basic stuff that a household needs, from bags of flour and rice to soaps and those little packets of biscuits the kids like. The shop is quite small, so the shelves are usually packed all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes you have to wait a minute while we go into the back to find a specific brand of tea or a bigger bottle of oil. It’s a family business, so there is almost always one of us sitting by the counter, even in the middle of the afternoon when it’s quiet. We don't have a fancy layout or bright neon signs. It’s just a simple neighborhood store where we know how much milk the family down the street takes every morning. The floor is a bit worn out from all the feet walking in and out, and the fan on the ceiling makes a clicking sound, but it keeps us cool. We don't do any home delivery with an app or anything like that. People just walk in, get their groceries, and have a little chat before heading home. It’s a busy life, especially on the weekends when everyone is doing their big shopping for the week. We just try to keep the staples in stock and help out where we can.
