Noya Fashions

Noya Fashions is my small business based in Vikhroli East. We are located in Tagore Nagar Group No. 4, specifically in Room No. 376/4433. It’s a humble space, nothing like those big offices you see in movies. I spend most of my day here among the rolls of cloth and the sound of the stitching machines. Some days are very long, starting early in the morning when the neighborhood is just waking up. We do a lot of different garments, mostly just whatever the local orders require. The room can get a bit crowded with all the fabric scraps on the floor, but we sweep up every evening. There is a small window that looks out onto the street, and I like watching the people go by when I take a short break. Vikhroli can be quite noisy, but inside the shop, we just focus on the needles and the thread. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes to get the right shades of fabric from the market, but we make it work. I have a couple of people who help me out when things get really busy. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing person. Most people just come in because they know we do a decent job with the tailoring. We use a lot of white thread, so there are spools of it everywhere. It's just a regular life here, working hard and hoping the electricity doesn't go out during a big job.
