Vijaya General Stores

Our shop is on the ground floor of the Guruk building in Vikhroli East. We are at Shop No 8, right near Mitramandal Chowk. If you are looking for us, we are opposite Tagore Nagar Group No 1. It’s a typical local store where we sell all the daily things people need. We’ve got bags of rice, soaps, lentils, and all that. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we try to fit as much stock as possible on the shelves. In the mornings, it’s all about the milk and bread delivery. We start early before the sun is even fully up. Throughout the day, kids come in for snacks and parents come for the household stuff they forgot to buy. We know most of the people who live in the surrounding buildings. It feels more like a community spot than just a store. Sometimes we run out of things and have to tell people to come back tomorrow. The chowk is always busy with autos and people walking, so there’s never a dull moment. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. We just put the items where they fit. The floor is old and the counter is worn out from years of use, but it does the job. It’s just a regular life here, serving the neighborhood one day at a time. We've been here for years and hope to stay much longer.
