We are located at Viraj Impex House, right on P. Dmello Road. It’s room number 47. If you’ve ever been to Masjid East, you know it’s one of the busiest places in Mumbai. There are trucks everywhere and people carrying loads all day long. Our office is right in the middle of all that noise. Vedant Impex has been operating from here for quite some time now. We deal with imports and exports, mostly handling the logistical side of things. The building is old but it has a lot of character. We spend our mornings going through shipping documents and calling up the docks. It’s a lot of back and forth with the clearing agents. The air is always a bit salty because we are so close to the port. Sometimes we have to shout over the sound of the horns outside just to hear each other. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a workspace with some desks and files piled up. We’ve got a good routine going though. People come in, drop off papers, and we move on to the next task. It’s a tough area to work in because of the congestion, but it’s where all the action is. We stay busy and try to get the goods moving as fast as we can. It’s honest work and we like being part of the Masjid area.
