V.B. Industries

V.B. Industries is located inside the Atul Engg. Compound, which is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. We are off Aarey Road in Goregaon East, so the traffic is usually a nightmare around here, especially when the rains start. Our workshop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular industrial unit with high ceilings and a lot of metal scraps piled up near the door. We spend most of our time dealing with engineering parts and manufacturing stuff for local clients. It’s loud in here because of the lathes and the grinding machines, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. We’ve been in this compound for years, and we know all the other shop owners around us. Sometimes we borrow tools from the guys next door, and they do the same with us. It’s a tight-knit place. There’s a small tea stall just outside the gate where we all go for a break in the afternoon. We don’t do a lot of fancy advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are and what we do. The work is hard and our hands are always greasy by the end of the day, but that’s how it goes in this line of business. We just try to get the orders done on time and make sure the machines are running right.
