Our shop is tucked into Shop 1 of Laxmi Apartment, right in the middle of the Abhinandan Market area in Borivali East. If you are walking down from the Abhyudaya Co-operative Bank, you will see us right there. The market gets very crowded during the middle of the day, especially with all the people coming and going from the bank and the other small stores around us. It is a lively place to work even if it gets a bit noisy with all the shouting and the scooters zipping past. Inside the shop, we have stuff stacked up everywhere because we handle quite a bit of trading goods throughout the week. It is not the kind of place where everything is perfectly lined up for a photo, but we know exactly where every box is kept. We usually start the day early to get the shutters up before the main rush starts. Most of the people who come in are locals or regulars who have been shopping in this part of Borivali for years. We spend a lot of time checking lists, talking to suppliers on the phone, and making sure the inventory is right. It is a lot of back-and-forth work. The space in Laxmi Apartment is okay for what we do, even if we sometimes wish we had a bit more room for the newer stock. We just focus on getting through the day's orders and helping whoever walks through the door.
