Vadilal & Sons has been at 106 V P Road for a very long time. It’s one of those old buildings that has seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the decades. We are a family business, passed down through a couple of generations, so there is a lot of history in these walls. The shop itself is pretty basic. We have some old wooden shelves and a counter that has been there since I was a kid. V P Road is usually quite busy with traffic and pedestrians, so there’s always something happening outside the front door. We don’t really go in for fancy displays or modern renovations because the current setup works just fine for what we do. It’s mostly just me and my brothers handling the daily operations. We know our regulars by their first names and often spend a few minutes chatting about the news or the local weather. We aren't trying to expand into a giant chain or anything; we just like being a reliable part of the street. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit backed up and the floor gets crowded, but we manage. You won’t find any polished sales pitches here. We just show you what we have and let you decide for yourself. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we plan to stay right here on V P Road for as long as we can, keeping things exactly as they are.
