Gupta Ice Cream

We are located at 103, A/B Mount Road, right in the Anjirwadi area of Mazgaon. It is an old part of the city, and the building reflects that. The walls are thick, and the space is a bit cramped, but it works for us. We have been making ice cream here for years, and the neighbors are used to the smell of sugar and the sound of our delivery vans starting up early. Mazgaon is always busy, with people moving through the narrow lanes at all hours. Our shop is tucked away, so you have to know where you are going to find us. We don't have a big sign or anything like that. Inside, it is all about the cold storage. We spend our days loading tubs and checking the inventory. It is physical work, and your hands are often cold, even when it is sweltering outside. Sometimes we sit out on the step for a break and watch the mechanics in the garages nearby. It is a very industrial sort of neighborhood, not like the fancy parts of town with the malls. We like it here because it feels real. The rent is manageable and we know the local tea seller by name. We don't try to make the place look like a boutique. It is a production unit first and foremost. We just focus on getting the tubs out to the shops every morning.
