You can find V Tribhovandas over on Princess Street, which is one of those classic old Mumbai locations that feels like it hasn't changed in decades. We are in Ranvir Mansion, at 66/70. It’s a historic building with high ceilings and those thick walls that keep things a bit cooler, though the humidity still finds its way in. S. Gandhi Marg is always packed with people, handcarts, and taxis honking. It’s a struggle just to walk down the sidewalk sometimes without bumping into someone. Our office is a bit cramped because we have so much history packed into these rooms. There are ledgers and old wooden cupboards everywhere. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find modern glass partitions or minimalist furniture. We like it that way, though. It feels real. The stairs can be a bit of a workout if you’re not used to them. We’ve been operating from this same spot for a very long time, and the neighbors are all familiar faces. You can hear the city humming outside all day long. Sometimes we have to shout over the noise of the traffic just to hear each other. We drink a lot of cutting chai from the local vendor and keep the files moving. It’s a busy, messy, and very human way to run a business. We don't have a fancy lobby, just a door that stays open to the street.
