Our office is up on the third floor of Hari Chambers. It's an old building, the kind you find a lot of in the Fort area of Mumbai. Being on Shahid Bhagat Singh Marg means there is always something going on outside, lots of people and cars moving around. We do export work, which mostly involves a lot of paperwork and phone calls. The office isn't very big, and it’s usually piled high with folders and documents. We spend most of the day at our desks trying to make sure everything is lined up for the next shipment. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit temperamental, so we end up taking the stairs. It keeps us fit, I guess. We’ve been in Fort for a long time now. It’s a historic part of the city and it feels solid being here. We don’t have any fancy decor or modern art on the walls. It’s just a place to get work done. We deal with people from all over, but we still feel like a small local operation at heart. Every evening when we lock up, the streets are still buzzing. It is a busy life, but we are used to the pace of it by now. We just do our jobs and try to keep things moving without too much fuss. There is always a lot to do, so we just get on with it.
