Unimex is tucked away at 208, Sharaf Mansion, which is near Old Hanuman Lane on Princess Street. This whole area is famous for being the heart of the chemical and medicine trade, and we have been right here in the middle of it for a long time. The building is one of those old ones with high ceilings and a staircase that has seen a lot of footsteps over the decades. Our office on the second floor is filled with old wooden cabinets and rows of files that tell the story of many years of trading. It is always loud outside with the shouting of vendors and the sound of handcarts being pushed over the uneven road. We don't have a modern office with glass walls or fancy lighting. It is a very traditional setup where we handle various chemical trades and talk to suppliers over the phone all day. Most of the people we do business with are just a few streets away, so we end up seeing them in person quite often. We don't have a marketing department or any glossy brochures. People find us because we have been at 32 Princess Street for so long. We just focus on getting the shipments moved and making sure the paperwork is done right. It is a hectic place to work, but we are used to the pace of the market. We just do our job and go home at the end of the day like everyone else.
