Tyco Thermal Controls

You can find us on the first floor of Ujagar Compound. It’s right off the Sion Trombay Road, which is always packed with cars and buses. Deonar is a busy part of Mumbai, and being right opposite the bus depot means there is never a quiet moment. We hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. The compound itself is one of those older industrial spots. It has a lot of character, I guess you could say. We work on thermal controls and heating stuff. It’s technical work but we try to keep things simple in the office. There are about ten of us usually around. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow. We spend a lot of time on the phone with clients or checking on orders. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always going. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just a workspace where we get things done. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall outside the gate. It’s a practical place for a practical job. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know our faces. It’s not the most glamorous location, but it’s where we do our best work without much fuss. We just keep our heads down and handle the parts and the paperwork as they come in.
