The Kaleido Stroe

Our unit is 8 H inside the Laxmi Ind. Estate, right off the New Link Road in Andheri West. If you know Mumbai, you know how hectic this area can get. Finding a parking spot near the estate is almost impossible some days, so most of us just take the train or a rickshaw. The estate itself is old and has a lot of character, with different businesses tucked into every corner. We are on the ground level which makes moving things in and out a bit easier than being on the top floors. Inside The Kaleido Stroe, things are usually a bit cluttered. We have stuff arriving and going out all the time. The New Link Road is always noisy with the metro work and the traffic, but once you get inside the estate walls, it feels a bit like its own little world. We do not have a big showroom with bright lights. It is more of a workspace where we sort things out. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door during the heavy monsoons, but we just put some sandbags down and keep going. Most of our neighbors are small workshops or printers. We all help each other out if someone needs a tool or a bit of tape. It is a community of people just trying to make a living in a crowded city. We have been here for a good while and know the shortcuts.
