Gulam & Gulam

Our business, Gulam & Gulam, is located at B.M.C. Shop No. 3 on P.D'Mello Road. We are right across from Ghadiyal Godi, which makes us easy to find if you know the area. This part of the city is always full of trucks and port traffic, so there is plenty of dust and noise to deal with every day. The shop itself is pretty small and basic. We don't have any flashy signs or modern decor. It’s just a place where we get our work done. We open up quite early because the road starts getting busy as soon as the sun comes up. Dealing with the paperwork and the people coming in takes up most of our time. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives and we have to find space for everything. We know the other people working on this block and we usually spend a few minutes chatting about the traffic or the heat. It’s a very practical way to spend a day. We don't have a big mission or anything like that. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized despite the chaos outside. By the time we lock up in the evening, we are usually exhausted, but it feels good to have finished the day's work. P.D'Mello Road is never quiet, and we’ve just become a part of the local routine here over the years we have been open.
