Nycsoho Umbrella

Our place, Nycsoho Umbrella, is in room 102 of Pearlplaza right in Andheri West. Andheri is always moving fast, and being in Pearlplaza puts us right in the middle of all that energy. We deal with umbrellas of all shapes and sizes. When the monsoon season is coming, this place gets absolutely frantic. We have boxes of umbrellas stacked almost to the ceiling in every corner. It’s a small shop, so we have to be careful where we step so we don't trip over a carton of handles or fabric. We spend a lot of time checking the frames and making sure the springs work right. It’s a simple product, but there are a lot of little pieces that can go wrong. Pearlplaza is a busy building with lots of different businesses, so there is always someone walking past our door. We keep the door open most of the time to let a breeze in, but it still gets stuffy when it’s humid. We are just a few people working here, mostly just trying to keep up with the orders that come in from local vendors. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just us, the umbrellas, and a couple of desks for the paperwork. Sometimes we get a bit overwhelmed when a big order comes in at the last minute, but we just put our heads down and get it packed up. It is honest work and everyone needs an umbrella eventually. We stay open late during the rains.
