Thakkar Dry Fruits Sweets Namkins is a small shop located at number 22 on Juhu Tara Road. We are right there in Juhu, not too far from the beach. You can usually tell when we’re open because of the smell of snacks and sweets that drifts out onto the sidewalk. It’s a lively area, especially in the evenings when people are out for a walk or heading to the water. We spend our time filling glass jars with cashews and almonds or stacking boxes of freshly made sweets. The shop gets pretty busy on weekends, and it can be a bit of a squeeze when more than a few people come in at once. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a few of us who have been working here for years. We know which snacks our regulars like and we often have their favorites ready before they even ask. It’s a lot of standing on our feet and moving things around, but we enjoy the chatter and the constant movement of the street. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside during the quiet afternoon hours and just watch the cars go by. It’s a simple business, built on being there every day and making sure the jars stay full. We like the neighborhood and the people who make it feel like home. If the jars are empty, we just fill them up again and start the next day.
