You’ll find us at 501 in Acme Industrial Park, which is right off the Western Express Highway in Goregaon East. Being so close to the highway makes it easy to get here, but the traffic can be a nightmare during rush hour. Tenderhearts Designer Shoppee is based in this unit, and it’s where we do all our planning and sorting. It’s an industrial park setting, so it’s not particularly pretty, but it’s functional for what we need. Inside, there are racks of clothes, fabric samples, and design sketches pinned to the walls. We’re often running around with measuring tapes and checking the quality of the latest batches. It’s a bit of a mix between an office and a warehouse. We spend our days talking to suppliers and making sure the designs are being handled correctly. It’s not a glamorous fashion house with runways; it’s where the actual work happens. The lighting isn't the best, and there are always boxes waiting to be unpacked or sent out. We just focus on the clothes and getting the details right. Sometimes we stay late when a new collection is being finalized. It’s just a small team of us trying to stay organized in the middle of all the fabric and thread. We don't have a big marketing department. We just work from our spot in Goregaon and try to keep things moving along smoothly every day.
