Tecumseh Products (India) Ltd. operates out of Gala No. 10 in the Ravi Industrial Estate. This place is located off Mahakali Caves Road in Andheri East, which anyone who knows Mumbai will tell you is a very busy spot. Getting to work can be a bit of a challenge with the traffic on Mahakali Caves Road, but once we are inside the gala, we get straight to it. The space is industrial and functional, designed for work rather than looking pretty. Gala No. 10 has high ceilings and plenty of room for our equipment and the desks where we handle the administration side of things. It is often loud because of the other units in Ravi Industrial Estate, but we have grown to appreciate the energy of the place. We keep a small area for our records and a table where we sit down for lunch. There is a lot of movement here, with things being moved in and out throughout the day. We don't spend much time on fancy presentations. Instead, we focus on the logs and the daily output. The team here is a mix of people who have been in Andheri East for a long time. We know the local tea sellers and the best shortcuts to avoid the worst of the road congestion. It is a real, working-class environment where we just focus on the day’s goals.
