Simrah Footwear

Simrah Footwear is located at M-8-c 33 in the Tata Nagar area of Govandi. We are right opposite the main gate of the Deonar Slaughter House, so that is the easiest landmark to look for if you are coming to see us. The area is always buzzing with activity and there are always trucks moving around near the gate. Our shop is where we keep all the different types of shoes and sandals we have in stock. It can get a bit dusty because of the road, so we spend time every morning wiping down the boxes and the display. The space is a bit long and narrow, with shelves going all the way up to the ceiling. We have a ladder we use to reach the top rows. It is a family-run kind of place, and we have been here in Govandi for a good while. The floor is concrete and stays relatively cool even when it is hot outside. We have a few chairs for people to sit on when they are trying things on. Sometimes the noise from the street makes it hard to hear, but we just speak a bit louder. We do not have any fancy music playing or anything like that. It is just a straightforward shoe shop. We know our regulars by name and they know they can just drop in. We stay open until late in the evening most days to make sure we finish everything we need to do.
