You can find our shop at No. 1 in the Ram Shyam Garage Gully. It's right next to the Nand Gopal Industrial Estate. The area is always packed with trucks and mechanics, so it’s pretty loud and busy from early morning until late at night. We do clothing work here, mostly sewing and finishing for different clients. The shop is small and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy for that right now. We have piles of fabric sitting on the benches and a few sewing machines that never seem to stop running. I got into this business because my uncle had a small unit nearby and taught me the ropes when I was younger. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend long hours under fluorescent lights making sure the orders are ready for pickup. There’s always someone coming in to ask about a late delivery or to drop off more supplies. We don't have a big staff, just a few local guys who really know how to handle the machines. Sometimes we have tea together out front when there's a small break in the work. We aren't part of any big corporation or anything like that. We just run this small shop in the gully and try to keep our customers satisfied with what we make. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know.
