Surat Fashion Club

We are over here at Vasant Vilas on DD Sallye Marg in Mumbai. It is a busy spot but we like it that way. We started Surat Fashion Club because we wanted a place where people could just find decent clothes without a lot of fuss. Most days it is just us figuring out which styles look okay and putting them out for whoever walks in from the street. The traffic outside is always loud but inside it stays pretty quiet. We have been in this building for a while now and the neighbors know us. It is not some fancy showroom with bright lights everywhere. We just have racks of stuff and some mirrors. Sometimes the fan makes a clicking noise but we get used to it. People come in looking for something for a wedding or just a party and we try to help them find a size that fits. It is hard work staying on your feet all day in the Mumbai humidity. We don’t do big ads or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. We spend a lot of time checking the fabric and making sure things aren't torn before they go out. It is just a regular shop doing regular business. If you are near 5th 31 and need some clothes you can stop by. We usually have someone here from morning until the evening sets in.
