At 157, A To Z Industrial Estate, things stay pretty loud from early morning until late at night. Suraaj Linens Pvt Ltd is just one of many units here, but we like to think we have our own way of doing things. The estate itself is always humming with the sound of machinery and people moving goods back and forth. Inside our space, you'll see stacks of linens piled high towards the ceiling. It can get quite warm in the afternoons, so we have these big industrial fans that move the air around, even if they make a lot of noise. Our desks are tucked into the corners where we can find some space away from the main floor. There is always a layer of lint on everything, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just part of the job when you work with fabric all day. We don't have a fancy entrance or a lobby for visitors. If you come to see us, you’ll probably have to dodge a trolley or two on your way in. We spend our time checking the weave and making sure the colors are right. It is tiring work, and your back usually aches by the end of the day, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing the final product boxed up and ready to go. We are just a group of people at unit 157 trying to do honest work and keep the business running as smoothly as we possibly can.
