We work at Sunshine Organics Pvt. Ltd. and you can find us at New Marine Lines, specifically in Sharda Chambers on Plot No-407/408. It’s an old building, but it has a lot of character and some creaky floors. Working near Vitthaldas Thackersey Marg means dealing with a lot of traffic and the general rush of the city every morning. Our office is usually filled with papers and samples of different organic stuff we deal with. It isn’t the quietest place because someone is always on the phone with a supplier or a transport guy. We’ve been here for a good stretch of time and we know most of the other people in the building. Sometimes the elevator acts up and we have to take the stairs, which is a bit of a workout. We don’t have any of those modern open-plan offices, it’s more traditional with wooden desks and files everywhere. The air smells a bit like sea salt sometimes because of how close we are to the water. Most of our day is spent making sure orders go out on time and checking the quality of the batches coming in. It can get stressful when things get delayed at the port, but that’s the nature of the business. We just keep at it and try to stay organized among all the chaos. We usually grab lunch from the small stall downstairs.
