Sunil General Stores

Sunil General Stores is tucked away in Moreshwar Chawl on S N Dubey Road in Dahisar. We are in the lane where Choice Restaurant is, right on Swastik Cross Road. It is quite close to Dhanvantari Hospital. Working in a chawl means we are right in the heart of the community. We sell everything from snacks and soap to notebooks and pens. The shop is small, and every inch of wall space is covered with products. We have things hanging from the ceiling and stacked on the floor. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two people are inside at the same time. Most of our customers are neighbors who have been living here as long as we have. We see the kids growing up and the older folks going for their walks. Being near the hospital means we also get people coming in for quick things they forgot. S N Dubey Road is usually busy, but our little lane is a bit more tucked away. We start early in the morning, putting out the milk crates and bread. The day goes by with a lot of small talk and regular chores. We don't have a computer system; we still use a notebook to keep track of things. It is just a simple, local store run by real people. We keep the fan on and the door open for whoever stops by.
