Our office is situated at 388/94 Sheikh Memon Street. If you know Mumbai, you know this street is always packed with people and vendors. It is a very old part of the city and it has a lot of character. We work in the export business, which means we spend a lot of time on the phone and dealing with heaps of paperwork. The office is tucked away in one of the older buildings, so the stairs are a bit narrow and the ceilings are high. We don't have much room for fancy displays. Most of the space is taken up by files, samples, and the desks where we sit. It’s noisy outside with the sounds of the market, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We handle all sorts of goods for export, depending on what is in demand. It’s a lot of coordination between the suppliers and the shipping companies. Sometimes things get delayed at the port, and those are the stressful days. But mostly, we just keep the wheels turning. We like being in the center of the trading district because everything we need is just a short walk away. We usually grab lunch from one of the local stalls nearby. It’s a busy, cramped, and lively way to work, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
