We are located over at 10 Shriji Industrial Estste, which is in Nawalkar Wadi, Jogeshwari. This is an industrial area, so don't expect a fancy storefront with big windows. It’s more of a factory setting where we actually make the clothes. You’ll hear the hum of the sewing machines the moment you walk into the estate. There are about twenty people working here on various tables. We have piles of cut fabric and thread everywhere. It’s a bit noisy and it can get quite warm when all the machines are running at once. My desk is tucked in the corner behind some shipping boxes. We spend our days checking patterns and making sure the workers have what they need to finish the batches. It’s not like a retail shop where you just walk in and browse. Most of our work is for orders that go out to other places. The road outside is often blocked by trucks loading and unloading stuff. We usually have our lunch together in a small area we cleared out near the back door. Jogeshwari is a busy hub for this kind of work, so we fit right in. It’s a lot of long hours and checking the small details on every piece of clothing. We don't really have time for anything flashy, we just focus on getting the work done on time. It’s hard work but it is what we do.
