We are right by Metro Cinema on Marine Lane. It’s a very famous landmark, so people never have trouble finding us. The shop is tucked away in a spot that sees a lot of foot traffic every single day. Working near the cinema means there is always a lot of energy around. I spend my time looking at broken screens and fixing hard drives. It’s mostly just me and a couple of guys helping out. We have stacks of old monitors in the back and cables hanging from the walls. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have more than three people inside. Marine Lane gets very busy during the weekends especially. Sometimes I take a break and just watch the crowds go by the window. We’ve been here for a good amount of time, seeing the area change. People from the nearby offices often drop their computers off when they have a problem. I don't use any fancy systems to keep track of things, just a simple notebook. It’s a practical way to run things. The salt air from the sea sometimes makes things rust faster, so we have to be careful with the hardware. If you are near Metro Cinema, you will probably see our small sign. We don't have a big front, but we have everything we need to do the work. It’s a decent place to spend the day. I’ve learned a lot about people just by fixing their machines here over the years. We just stay busy.
