Spy Fashions

Our shop, Spy Fashions, is located in the Himgiri building, number 50/1694, over in Subhash Nagar, Chembur. It’s a busy part of town and we’ve been here for quite some time now. We do a lot of clothing work, mostly tailoring and fixing things up for the local folks who live nearby. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be careful not to trip over the piles of fabric and scrap. We have a few sewing machines that have seen better days, but they still run fine if you know how to treat them and oil them regularly. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy window display to attract people. Usually, there’s just a few mannequins wearing whatever we finished recently or a few posters on the door. We spend most of our time measuring, cutting, and stitching by hand or machine. It can get pretty hot in here during the summer months when the fans aren't enough to keep us cool, but we keep working through it. People from around Subhash Nagar often stop in just to chat or ask for a quick repair on a zipper or a hem. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique for famous people. We’re just a local business making clothes that fit right and look decent. Some days we stay late to finish a wedding outfit or a school uniform. It’s hard on the eyes and the back, but it’s what we do for a living.
