Spectrum Computer World

Spectrum Computer World is located in the Navketan building on N G Acharya Marg in Chembur. We are at number 14, and the place is usually cluttered with CPU towers, monitors, and tangled cables. It is the kind of office where you have to be careful where you step so you don't trip over a power strip. We have been working on computers for a long time, back when they were much bigger and slower than they are now. Most of our day is spent looking at blue screens or trying to recover files that someone accidentally deleted. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights and glass walls. It is more of a workspace where the focus is on fixing things rather than selling them with a big sales pitch. The building itself is an older one, so the walls have some cracks and the elevator is a bit slow, but it has character. We have our regulars who bring their laptops in every year for a cleanup. Sometimes we get stuck on a tricky hardware problem and end up staying way past closing time just to figure it out. It is just a small group of us here, and we don't really care much for titles or formal meetings. We just drink our coffee, fix the machines, and try to keep up with how fast technology changes.
