Soofi Exports

If you find yourself on Nagdevi Street, you know how it is. It’s noisy, there are people pushing carts everywhere, and there’s always someone shouting for a truck to move. Our place, Soofi Exports, is right at 150. We’ve been here a good while now. Most days just start with a cup of tea while we wait for the shutters to go up on the other shops. It’s a hardware and tools kind of area, so there’s a lot of metal clanking around. We handle the export side of things, which sounds fancy but it’s mostly just making sure the right boxes get to the right place. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, especially when things are delayed at the port. My desk is usually covered in folders and old pens that barely work. The ceiling fan here makes a clicking sound that we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. Just some chairs and the smell of grease and old paper. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so we usually keep the door propped open for a bit of a breeze, even though it brings in the dust. That's just how life goes here at 150. We keep track of the orders, talk to the transporters, and try to get home before the traffic gets really bad. It’s a busy life for us, but it is what it is.
