Sonia Bendre

I’m Sonia Bendre and my place is at 10, Kalanagar in Bandra East. Kalanagar is a bit of a different world compared to the rest of Bandra. It’s quieter and has all these old houses. My spot at number 10 is where I spend most of my time. It’s a residential area, so you don’t get all that heavy commercial traffic. It feels like a neighborhood where people actually know each other. I’ve set up a small area to handle all the work. It’s nothing fancy, just a room with enough light and my desk. Most mornings I’m just here with my tea, getting through the paperwork. The house has been in the family, and it’s got that lived-in feel. I don’t think I could work in a big office building. Here, I can hear the birds and the occasional delivery bike. It’s a very grounded way to run things. People usually find me by the big tree out front. We don’t have a massive neon sign or anything like that. It’s just Sonia Bendre at home. I keep things moving without much fuss. If someone needs to drop something off, they just come to the gate. It’s straightforward. I like the peace of Bandra East. It helps me stay focused on the tasks I have for the day. It is just a regular house where work gets done.
