Solid Tacklers

Our place is at 65 Narayan Rao, Koli Marg, which most people around here still call Bhandari Street. It’s a narrow enough road and things can get a bit tight when deliveries are being unloaded. Solid Tacklers is basically just a ground-floor setup where we keep our stock and run the daily business. The street outside is always full of people and the smells of the local market, which is something you just get used to. Inside, the shelves are pretty packed with hardware and different bits of equipment. We don't have a lot of empty space, so you have to watch your step when you walk in. The lighting isn't the brightest, but we know where everything is kept even in the dark. We spend a lot of our time talking to the regulars who have been coming to this street for years. It’s the kind of business where a lot of the work is done with a pen and a paper pad rather than a fancy computer system. We sit on plastic chairs near the entrance and wait for the next person to walk through the door. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes it a bit damp in here, but we just move the boxes back and keep going. Most days, the noise from the traffic is just a background hum. We don't have a big sign outside, just the address on the wall.
