We have been operating out of room 225 in the Veena Beena building for a good while now. Bandra West is always a bit chaotic with the traffic and the noise, but we have gotten used to the rhythm of this neighborhood. Our office isn't anything fancy or over-designed. It is just a regular workspace where we handle the daily business of Smg International. Most mornings start with the sound of the shutters going up around the area and the smell of cutting chai from the stall downstairs. We spend a lot of our time on the phones or hunched over computers, trying to make sure all the paperwork is in order. It gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of files coming in, but we find a way to keep things moving. There are no big speeches here or complicated corporate rules. We just show up, sit at our desks, and get through the tasks one by one. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud or the monsoon rain leaks through a window, but that is just part of being in an old building like this one. We know our neighbors and they know us. It is a very practical way to work. We don't really go for those polished business looks because that is not who we are. We are just a local team doing our bit in the middle of a very busy city.
