Silkish Root Private Limited

We are located on the second floor of the Ashish Industrial Estate in Dadar West. Dadar is always a bit of a rush, and Gokhale Road is no exception to that rule. Our unit is number 218. It's a typical old industrial building with lots of stairs and other small businesses nearby. We do silk-related work and handle other fabrics too. It’s dusty work sometimes. The sewing machines are old but they are reliable for what we do. We have a few windows that let in some natural light, which really helps when we are looking at the thread colors. My father used to say that a good day's work is seen in the piles of finished goods, and we usually have plenty of those by evening. It’s not a quiet place at all. There is always someone talking or a machine clicking away in the background. We don't have a big front office or a receptionist. Most people who come here are suppliers or people we've known for a long time. We handle the cutting, the stitching, and the packing all in the same room. It gets a bit cramped when a new shipment of raw silk arrives on a Tuesday. We just move the chairs around and make some space. It’s how we’ve always done things here. Dadar is a good spot because everything we need is close by. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders. It’s not fancy, but it is how we make our living.
