Siddhi Supermarket

We have been here at Plot 1532 for quite a while now. Chawl Number 192 stays pretty busy most of the time. Most mornings start early for us, getting the milk crates sorted before the sun is even fully up and the streets get loud. It gets crowded inside once people start heading to work or dropping their kids off at school. We try to keep everything stocked on the shelves, from the basic lentils to the snacks that kids always ask for when they come in. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to scramble to clear the floor space. Goregaon West is a noisy place, especially around the area near Sajal Park, but you get used to the sound of traffic and people chatting outside the door. We aren't a big chain or anything like that. It’s just us running the place, making sure the rice bags are stacked right and the fridge is working like it should. Some days are long, especially when the power acts up or we have to do the inventory counts late at night when it’s finally quiet. The regulars who live nearby know where everything is, so they just walk in and grab what they need. It’s a bit cramped with all the boxes, but that’s just how it is here. We focus on getting the essentials to the neighborhood without making a big fuss about things. If someone needs a specific brand of tea, we write it down and try to get it in the next load.
