Shrinivas Sugandhalaya

We are located at E/107 in the Ansa Industrial Estate. It’s right on Saki Vihar Road in Saki Naka. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy this area gets. Shrinivas Sugandhalaya is right in the middle of all that industrial bustle. We work with scents and incense, so the smell around our unit is actually quite nice, which is a bit of a change from the usual industrial smells. We’ve got a lot of people working here, mostly focusing on the production and packing. It’s a noisy place because of the machinery and the trucks outside, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend our days making sure the blends are right and the packaging is done properly. It’s hands-on work. We don't have a polished showroom; it’s just a factory space where things get done. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the shifts. Sometimes the monsoon makes things difficult with the traffic on Saki Vihar Road, but we try to keep things on schedule as much as we can. It’s a lot of hard work, honestly. We just stay focused on what we’re making and try to keep everything organized in the warehouse. We have been here at Saki Naka for a long time, so we know all the neighbors and the truck drivers by name. It’s a lot of dusty work and sometimes the heat in the factory is a bit much. But we just keep the fans going and stay on task. There's a lot to do before the weekend.
