Shree Ganesh Sweet Dry Fruit & Farsan Mar

We are over in Vikhroli West 3, running this shop that sells a bit of everything sweet and salty. The name is a bit of a mouthful, Shree Ganesh Sweet Dry Fruit & Farsan Mar, but we just think of it as our daily work. We have rows of jars filled with dried fruits like cashews and raisins. Then there are the glass counters for the fresh sweets we make. The farsan is kept in large plastic bags or containers to keep it crunchy. It’s a busy spot because there are a lot of homes nearby. Mothers come in to get stuff for school tiffins, and old men stop by to chat and buy a small packet of sev. The shop isn't perfectly organized all the time. Sometimes the boxes are stacked a bit high in the corners because we just got a delivery. We use simple scales to weigh everything out. We don't have a marketing department or anyone writing fancy descriptions for our food. You see it, you point to it, and we weigh it for you. Vikhroli is our home and we've been part of this street for years. It is a bit loud with the traffic outside, but inside it’s just the sound of the scales clicking and people asking for their favorite mix. We just keep doing what we do every day. We usually close up when the street lights come on.
