Shiv Garments Co.

We have two spots in the Malad Shopping Centre, number 161 and 192. It’s right on S. V. Road, so the traffic is always a mess outside. Being in a shopping centre means we deal with a lot of different people every day. Shiv Garments Co. is mostly just racks of clothes and a small changing area tucked in the back. It’s a bit tight in there, especially when we get a new shipment and the bags are sitting in the aisles. We spend a lot of time folding and re-folding things because people like to look through everything. The lighting in the centre is that bright yellow kind that makes you feel a bit tired by five o'clock. We usually have the radio playing some old songs to pass the time. My brother stays at one unit and I stay at the other, and we shout across to each other sometimes. It’s not a fancy boutique. We just sell regular clothes for regular people. The Malad heat can be tough, even with the fans going full blast. We’ve been here at this shopping centre for a good bit of time now. People know where to find us. We don't do any big ads or anything. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer to come in from S. V. Road.
