You can find Shetkari Traders at 77 Nagdevi Street, inside J.K. Chambers. If you’ve ever been to Nagdevi Street, you know it’s the place to go if you’re looking for hardware or industrial tools. The street is always packed with trucks unloading and people pushing carts, so it’s never quiet around here. Our office in J.K. Chambers is an old-style setup. It has high ceilings and those heavy wooden doors that have been there for decades. We deal mostly in trading goods that farmers and local contractors need. There are stacks of catalogs on the desks and samples of valves or pipes sitting in the corners. It’s a bit of a maze getting through the building, but we like being in the heart of the trade district. Most of the day is spent talking to suppliers or checking the stock levels. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find plush chairs or a coffee machine; it’s more about getting the orders right and making sure the boxes get where they’re supposed to go. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up using the stairs more than we’d like. We’ve known the other traders on the floor for years, so there’s always someone popping in to say hello or ask a question. It’s a busy, lived-in space that feels like part of the old city's history, and we just keep doing our thing.
