Vaishnavi Traders

You can find Vaishnavi Traders at C-45 Navyug Mansion. It’s on the 5th floor of this old building on Sleater Road, right near Grant Road West in Mumbai. Being in an old mansion like this means the ceilings are high and the walls are thick, though the lift can be a bit temperamental sometimes. We’ve been trading from here for a long time. It’s South Mumbai, so everything is close together and the streets are always packed with people and taxis. Our office is full of ledgers and sample books. We don't really do the whole modern office thing with open floor plans. It’s more about having a desk and a chair and getting to work. The view from the 5th floor isn't much, just other rooftops and the busy street below, but we like the energy of the area. Trading involves a lot of back-and-forth on the phone and checking with suppliers across the city. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the papers and samples lying around, but we try to keep it decent. We have our regulars who come by for a chat or to check on their orders. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, which suits us just fine. We don't need anything more than what we have here. Just a reliable space in a part of the city we know by heart. We've been here for years and hope to stay for many more.
