You can find Sai Krishna Agency on the first floor of the Gowrakshak Building in Kalbadevi. If you have ever been to Kalbadevi, you know it is probably one of the most crowded places you could ever try to run a business in. There are handcarts and people everywhere, and the noise from the street never really stops from morning until night. Being on the first floor helps a little bit with the noise, but you still feel the energy of the market down below. Our office is mostly filled with files, samples, and stacks of paperwork because that is the nature of the agency business. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who climb the stairs to see us about their orders. It is not a place with a lot of room to move around, so we have to be organized. We usually have a small stove in the corner for making tea because you need it to get through the day here. The building is old and has a lot of history, with its narrow stairs and high ceilings. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just try to get the orders processed correctly and make sure the deliveries are going to the right places. It is a lot of coordination and simple hard work in a very busy part of Mumbai.
