Ag Traders

Ag Traders is located right on Bhavani Shankar Road 1 in Kalbadevi. If you know Kalbadevi, you know it’s always crowded and moving. We’ve got a small office here where we handle all the trading work. It’s mostly paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. The street outside is usually blocked with carts and bikes. We’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. It’s a tight space, filled with ledgers and some samples of what we trade. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. You just walk in and we're there at our desks. Sometimes we’re out meeting people or checking on a shipment. The building is old, like most things in this part of town. We’ve had to fix the wiring a few times. It’s just a place of business. We deal with various goods depending on what's moving in the market. It’s not always easy, especially when the rains hit and the road floods a bit. But we keep showing up. We know the other traders nearby, and we help each other out with information or small favors. It's a traditional way of doing things. We don't use much technology besides the basics. It’s about the people and the deals we make face-to-face. That's the reality of working in Kalbadevi. We’ve been here for years and we’ll probably be here for many more, just trading away and keeping the business going.
